Keep Awake Privacy Policy

Keep Awake does not collect, track, or send any of your data. Everything stays on your device.

What We Collect

Nothing.

Keep Awake does not collect any personal information, browsing history, or usage data. No analytics. No accounts. No sign-ups.

What We Store Locally

Your timer choice, activity setting, and on/off state. Saved locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. No data is sent off the device.

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server, and we have no way to access it.

Why We Need Each Permission

Keep Awake only asks for the permissions it needs to work. Here is what each one does:

storage

Save your timer and settings between sessions.

alarms

Run the auto-off timer and refresh the OS-level keep-awake every 60 seconds for reliability.

power

Call chrome.power.requestKeepAwake to tell the operating system not to sleep the display.

activeTab

Acquire a Screen Wake Lock in the tab you're on when you turn the extension on. Granted only when you click the popup or use the hotkey.

scripting

Inject the wake-lock script (and optionally the activity-simulation script for Slack/Teams) into the active tab. No content is read from the page.

Third-Party Services

Keep Awake does not connect to any external servers, analytics tools, or advertising networks. It works fully offline after you install it.

Policy Updates

If we change this policy, we will update this page. The date at the bottom shows when it was last updated.
