Yes. Every feature is free, forever. No premium voices, no minute cap, no signup.
The same place your browser and OS already get them. The extension calls chrome.tts, which uses whatever speech engine is installed. Voice quality matches what you already hear from your system.
Not by the extension. The extension makes zero outbound network calls. Note: Chrome's own TTS may use Google's servers for some voices on certain platforms. That is the browser's TTS engine, not this extension. Pick a local OS voice to stay fully offline.
Yes. Right-click Read aloud works on any page where you can select text. It does not run on restricted pages like chrome:// URLs.
