Bass Booster Privacy Policy

Bass Booster does not collect, track, or send any of your data. Everything stays on your device.

What We Collect

Nothing.

Bass Booster does not collect any personal information, browsing history, or usage data. No analytics. No accounts. No sign-ups.

What We Store Locally

Your bass level, preset choice, and on/off state. Saved locally on your device using chrome.storage.local.

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server, and we have no way to access it.

Why We Need Each Permission

Bass Booster only asks for the permissions it needs to work. Here is what each one does:

activeTab

Access the current tab's audio when you turn on bass boost.

storage

Save your bass level and preset between sessions.

tabCapture

Capture the tab's audio so the extension can run it through the bass filter.

offscreen

Run the audio processing in an offscreen document, since service workers cannot use the Web Audio API directly.

Third-Party Services

Bass Booster does not connect to any external servers, analytics tools, or advertising networks. It works fully offline after you install it.

Policy Updates

If we change this policy, we will update this page. The date at the bottom shows when it was last updated.
